LUTZ is a clothing store in The Netherlands with international top brands for men and women. We present these beautiful brands on more than 1,000 m2 of retail space.
Our store
LUTZ is located in Vinkeveen and easily accessible by both car and public transport. There is ample parking space behind our shop. Since 1904, we believe in personal service in everything we do. We believe in attention to our customer. We provide personalized service by watching and listening to our customer. Since 2005 we are proud to associate the title Purveyor to our name.
LUTZ is constantly working on its way to offer its demanding and critical customers exactly what they are looking for. From casual laid back to high-end business clothing and from trendy jeans to elegant looks.

1904
The story of LUTZ begins on May 1, 1904. Herman Lutz opens a shop selling fabrics, haberdashery, blankets, sheets by the meter, crochet yarn, knitting wool, 4711 perfumes and fashion items at 45 Herenweg in Vinkeveen. Even furniture for the living room and bedroom and carpets were part of the range.
The function of the clothing and housing store at the beginning of the 20th century is very different from today: a village shop in which many villagers can find something to their liking. Herman Lutz himself comes to the door for residents in the distant surroundings of Vinkeveen to sell his wares.
1945
Herman Lutz passed on the love for his profession to 3 of his sons. After the war, his son Clemens took over the shop in Vinkeveen and his sons Harrie and Jan started a shop in Breukelen and Abcoude respectively.
Clemens Lutz is expanding the retail property on Herenweg. Together with his wife and more and more staff, he is working hard on a successful business for a clientele that crosses the village and provincial borders.
1976
In 1976 Henk Lutz, the eldest son, takes over the business from his father. Once again, major renovations are required, because an expanded collection of women's and men's clothing for work and leisure in the higher segment, shoes and other fashion accessories, require more space to be shown to his increasingly fashion-conscious clientele.
For a while there was a separate jeans corner in the store with its own name Jofel. The first brochures for an ever-growing customer base date from that time.
With his wife Ank in the background, Henk knows how to realize many new plans with a dedicated team. Sadly he passed away on February 18, 2012. Fortunately, his unbridled commitment to LUTZ can be taken over by his eldest daughter Hanneke.
2012
After 3 generations of Lutz men, Hanneke Lutz is now the first female general manager to lead LUTZ in Vinkeveen. Together with her husband Jasper Verhoek and a large team of expert employees, she wants to inspire the fashion-conscious visitor to the store time and again by what the international top brands of contemporary women's and men's fashion have to offer. The philosophy of LUTZ is: “We believe in personal service in everything we do. We believe in attention to our customer. We provide personalized service by watching and listening to our customer. And we happen to sell great clothes too.”
One of the challenges for Hanneke's father was "thinking ahead". Hanneke and Jasper wholeheartedly accept that challenge. In this hectic time, not everyone has the time to visit the store. That is why, since December 2012, LUTZ has also been offering all top brands via the webshop. That is 24/7 shopping at LUTZ and that is part of modern entrepreneurship in retail.
Hanneke and Jasper hope to keep LUTZ challenging for everyone together with their team. And “alive and alive” for perhaps the next generation of LUTZ? Time will tell!
